The Central Service/Sterile Processing Department has a dress code so you will need to be in compliance when at work.

We will issue you a full refund of your costs if you decide not to start, and you let us know 7 calendar days prior to class starting. Less than 7 days prior to starting, we will issue you a 75% refund and once we are 1 day before the start of class or class has started, there will be no refunds issued.
This is our policy because we limit the size of each class to help maximize the learning and the availability of the instructor for each learner.
While there is no age requirement for acquiring knowledge, we require you to be atleast 18 years or older. To work in a healthcare facility you will be required to be atleast 18 years old.
Salaries vary for those who posses a CRCST certification from HSPA. As the cost of living is different in all areas, it will depend on where you live. Click the link below for information on salaries.
You are able to take a program module as many times as you need to until you pass it. Our courseware is setup to keep you on the path to certification. There will be prerequisites that must be completed prior to taking some program modules.
You need a device that can will function with an online video conferencing platform. We suggest you use a laptop for class and for you to do your classwork. You can use a tablet or mobile phone but suggest you take advantage of the larger screen size when you can.
You will have access to materials associated with your program when it begins (assuming you have completed your enrollment). There may be additional materials needed which will be sent to you as each program module progresses (if necessary).

If you decide to stop classes for any reason during your program, you can resume at anytime up to 6 months after your initial enrollment. We would encourage you to finish when you can. Due to the fact that we limit our class size, there will be no refunds once a seat is taken by you upon completing your initial enrollment.
When you pass your International Certification exam, administered by the Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA), you are considered provisionally certified. You need 400 hours of clinicaal experience (in an approved facility) to become fully certified. Your experience can come in the form of an externship (which only a healthcare facility can provide, not any school or non-approved site) or our preferred method, employment. You can get hired when you are provisionally certified, which allows you to be paid for your first 400 hours, meeting the requirement.
SwotTrain provides clinical externship assistance for our students by utilizing our industry network and conveying the placement opportunities in the area the students reside. The qualifications for externship are often the same as they are for employment so we encourage you to prepare early for all that is required.
One of the nice things about our system is we are cloud-based. This means usually when there is a technical error it shows itself across an entire class so we can remedy it quickly. Any issue with only 1 student usually means it is isolated to that student which makes it easier to resolve. We try our best to resolve technical issues as soon as possible.
